Genesis 2:8 KJB

And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

There is a reason we are drawn to green spaces. It is our natural abode. Any place of work, even a factory, will benefit from greenery.

My indoor hibiscus, underplanted with petunias I grew from seed two years ago. Thank You Lord Jesus, our blessed Creator.

Is Left Behind Theology Being Left Behind? :: By Jan Markell

Since I was old enough to understand it, I’ve believed, taught, and written about Dispensational Theology. I just call it “Left Behind Theology.” Critics say it is a modern invention that came along in the 1800s. Please, read the Bible. The prophetic angle of Dispensationalism represents one-third of the Bible. Simple Definitions Dispensationalism teaches a literal Antichrist, a…

Pitchers of Pride in this Pre-Trib Rapture Time

“America’s pastime,” as baseball is termed, seems to also properly define this nation’s obsession as we approach July 4, 2026. By that, I mean the obsession with pride. And I’m specifically referring to gay pride, which is made by the mainstream media today to look like America’s pastime so far as keeping this social perversion constantly in their…

Wednesday Wisdom

Proverbs 24:30-34 KJV

[30] I went by the field of the slothful, And by the vineyard of the man void of understanding;

[31] And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, And nettles had covered the face thereof, And the stone wall thereof was broken down.

[32] Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction.

[33] Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep:

[34] So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; And thy want as an armed man.

Praising God for His Goodness

David Wilkerson (1931-2011) June 16, 2026 “I will speak of the glorious honor of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness. They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness” (Psalm 145:5-7, KJV).

Monday Blessings

Revelation 7:14 “And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” King James Version (KJV) “Maranatha!” – “Come, Lord Jesus!”

Sunday Scripture

If we could just follow this command, we would be walking closer to the Lord than ever before. With overflowing peace. It applies in marriages, friendships, work relationships, church family…it goes on. Yes, even when we are driving!

Without compassion, we will be blinded by pride and our emotions. A humble spirit helps us, to treat others in a Godly fashion.

The childhood mantra, “Jesus first, others second, me last,” is not a bad thing for us mature Christians to take to heart.

Thursday Thoughts

James 1:5 KJV [5] If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Beginnings of backyard pumpkin patch. I use cardboard to suppress weeds… expectations are low, concerning actual pumpkins this year. We just moved in two months ago, and garden has been low priority. But, any time a garden bed gets established, it is cause for rejoicing in our family. God is good.

Having flowers. Especially zinneas, growing in your garden, will attract pollinators.

More garden scenes coming…

Proverbs 8:1-8 KJV [1] Doth not wisdom cry? And understanding put forth her voice? [2] She standeth in the top of high places, by the way In the places of the paths. [3] She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, At the coming in at the doors. [4] Unto you, O men, I call; And my voice is to the sons of man. [5] O ye simple, understand wisdom: And, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart. [6] Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; And the opening of my lips shall be right things. [7] For my mouth shall speak truth; And wickedness is an abomination to my lips. [8] All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; There is nothing froward or perverse in them.

Sage’s Kitchen – Super Sloppy Joe’s

Not to brag, but these rise far above ordinary Joes.  The foundation is the beyond awesome, homemade hamburger buns. Nothing else can compare. I use the exact formula for Challah hamburger buns from:

http://www.breadmachinediva.com

She gives excellent instruction and illustration for bread machine recipes.

They are beautiful and will hold up to any kind of filling…

Look at the inside texture!  The three eggs in the dough provide the amazing quality.

My Sloppy Joe recipe is very tasty and easy.

1 lb. Ground beef

1 medium onion, chopped; or handful dried onion

1/3 cup chopped celery

1/3 cup chopped green pepper

1/3 cup catsup

1/4 cup water ( if using dried veggies as I often do, add up to a full cup water)

1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/8 teaspoon Frank’s (or to taste)

1 teaspoon sea salt

Brown hamburger and onion, drain if necessary, stir in remaining ingredients, and cook over low heat till veggies are tender, not soggy.

Toast the buns in the oven if you desire, then fill up with hot mixture.

p.s. In the last picture, you see my Green Pan. Non-stick ceramic.  It is over 20 years old, and still going strong. To keep these delicate ceramics in good shape, hand wash only, use wood or nylon tools, and never use cooking sprays. For some reason, these glass ceramics get damaged by cooking spray.

Happy homemaking!
