Monday musings …

Where we used to live, in Bloomfield Michigan, there was a beautiful complex, containing a Mormon Temple, complete with a gleaming statue of the angel “Moroni” on top, and, a Masonic temple in the same complex. What does that tell you?  LDS, or Mormonism is accursed according to Scripture.

Galatians 1:8-9 KJV [8] But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. [9] As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

The Adversary

Gleaned from my Bible study today, this passage, wherein Saul takes on the wicked Bar-Jesus.  It struck me that every single time, every single time, we attempt to lead someone to Christ, the Adversary will do everything in his power to prevent it.

Notice Saul does not avoid combat with the forces of darkness. He confronts it head on. If we were to boldly do what Saul did – imagine what would happen. The devils would cower in fear.

Just a few weeks ago, my husband and I were going to look at house we were interested in. The whole thing was strange and Holy Spirit driven, but I digress.  As we were sitting at a red light, waiting to turn, my husband, looking straight ahead, said “If they aren’t Christians I’m not putting in an offer on that house.”  I said “Really?”  And he said yes.

This particular kind of strength comes only from The Holy Ghost. As it did for Saul, and does for anyone who chooses to stand up for our Lord Jesus Christ. Even ladies at the quilting bee need to have this kind of fortitude.  Enough of tepid Christianity!

More on the house saga later…

Friday Scripture

Isaiah 25:1-4 KJV [1] O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. [2] For thou hast made of a city an heap; of a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built. [3] Therefore shall the strong people glorify thee, the city of the terrible nations shall fear thee. [4] For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

Sage’s Kitchen – Pizza!!!!

Here is my super thrifty pizza procedure!

For the crust, I use my bread machine. It saves me time, and makes a wonderful pizza dough. 🍕

In the baking pan of your bread machine:

1 cup warm water

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon sea salt

2 & 3/4 cups all-purpose flour (NOT bread flour!)

1 & 1/4 teaspoon bread machine yeast

Set the machine to dough cycle. When it is complete, dump the dough in the center of your pizza pan. I use a 16″ perforated pizza pan to achieve super crispy crust.

Oil your hands with olive oil, and spread, press, and stretch the dough to fit the pan. You can use two smaller pizza pans.

IF you like a softer crust, skip this part and go straight to the toppings.

IF you like a super crusty crust, place the pan on the lowest rack in your cold oven. Close the door and set oven to 425 degrees. Leave the pan in the oven until the preheat  is complete, and take it out. This “pre-bake” makes for a crusty crust and prevents the sauce from soaking into the crust. My husband loves this. Leave the oven on while you top the pizza.

Topping the pizza!

The best, cheapest sauce is homemade. I use a a pizza seasoning blend from http://www.atlanticspice.com.

Many other companies sell this blend. In a small sauce pan: one 6 ounce can tomato paste, one tablespoon pizza seasoning, 1/2 tablespoon sugar, 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, 1/8 teaspoon black pepper. Heat the sauce for a few minutes till it smells like pizza!

Next, generously sprinkle with Parmesan cheese

Mozzarella  (about 2 cups)

Pepperoni or whatever you like. About 1 cup.

Place the pizza back into your still hot oven (425 degrees) and bake for 20-25 minutes.

Tuesday Truth

Why I vote…because He expects us to take action. We must go round and round Jericho until the last Trump blasts.

Today I had the privilege of voting AGAINST a Muslim trying to get on the school board. Thank You Lord Jesus!

Monday Motivation

There are many prosperity ministries out there, that promote the idea that wealth and prosperity are equivalent to happiness. How tragic that so many follow those  lies. Does the fault lie entirely with those wicked ones?  Only in part. They would not sell many books or ideas if sheep didn’t want their ears tickled.
