You know, I was reading, actually, that the King James Version is translated from the Textus Receptus! I thought, “aha! Now this is starting to make sense…”
I’m not at all joking when I just was at a Catholic wordpress blog promoting their sale of NIV Bibles… Quite ironic. I found it a little humorous.

You will never see the Catholic church or Catholic website promoting the KJB. But they will sell every other Bible revision.

People are not aware of the significance of it because they aren’t introduced to the actual histories behind so many translations. It is truly a convoluted web. I don’t think any Catholics know the actual history behind Roman Catholicism. If they do, it is not a perspective from both sides. To someone who doesn’t know, they might think, “Oh, Universal Christianity! That might sound kind of nice. Friendly. We love our neighbor. Sounds like Jesus.”
Universal Christianity started when Constantine united the religions of the Roman Empire by integrating pagan ideologies with Christianity – that’s why the Catholic Church is so focused on authority of symbolism and ceremony as opposed to the authority of scripture. Any Bible that is acceptable to Universal Christianity is one that 1. downplays the authority of scripture and 2. is Anti-Trinitarian.

Schools stopped teaching actual history a long time ago. Back in the 40’s and 50’s, perhaps earlier.
